Position Details

As an HR Intern for the Summer of 2023, you will work closely with HR leaders on key projects that will impact our business in real time. While building your career experiences and general business acumen you will also be building professional capabilities preparing you for a successful career in human resources upon graduation. The Human Resources projects may include working with our frontline HR team members, corporate centers of excellence, or key workstreams relating to our critical business and HR strategy - Building Pella’s Talent Advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Work closely with HR mentors and managers to understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • Assist leadership in managing talent management projects including performance management, talent planning and development, team member engagement and culture building.
  • Engage with cross functional leaders throughout the organization to help Pella elevate it’s general HR practices and leadership capabilities.
  • Participate in core internship programming that includes a case study competition, professional development curriculum, and participating in an off-site business meeting(s).
  • Create and present strategic solutions to solve real world challenges within our business.

Qualifications:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in an MBA, Masters of HR, or Masters of LER program.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills from work or extracurricular activities.
  • Previous full-time work or internship experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging to your audience and present information at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work full-time within the United States without visa sponsorship upon graduation.
