This Supply Manager is responsible for developing a stable supply base of machinery and equipment suppliers through long term and strategic relationships with suppliers to meet Pella’s manufacturing needs in terms of quality, time, and cost.  Using all tools available, manage risk (financial, performance, and catastrophic risk) in the supply base.  Support the organization with new product launches being the key liaison between suppliers, Pella engineering and manufacturing to assure work is completed on time, within budget, and all corporate Supply Management processes are followed. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS SUPPLY MANAGER MAY INCLUDE:

  • Manage Capital Equipment spend throughout Pella's Manufacturing locations.     
  • Act as liaison between Pella's functional teams and suppliers to ensure the best terms are achieved for the company with ROI and purchasing power in mind.
  • Conduct RFQ and supplier selection process by using established processes and scoring criteria.
  • Lead any negotiations on equipment contracts, lease agreements, Statements of Work (SOW's), Change Orders (CO's), legal interests, pricing, and any other business deliverables necessary.
  • Develop long-term supply based strategies to support Pella's capital equipment needs.
  • Research market intelligence to understand costs and market trends.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF THIS SUPPY MANAGER MAY INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Supply Chain Mgt., Industrial Engineering or related business field; and 5-7 years of experience procuring large dollar capital equipment and services in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Expertise in full life-cycle of strategic sourcing and corporate procurement activities.
  • Well versed in sourcing strategies, RFP development & analysis, and supplier selection.
  • Past experience with vendor relationships and actively prepping, negotiating, and managing contract fulfillment.
  • Strong project management, organization, and analytical skills required.
  • Experience working within MS Office Suite, Oracle, and Access. 
  • ISM - CPSM certification desired, but not required.
