- 3+ years combined engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, or relevant Science or combination of education and experience.
- Responsible for ongoing development of technical and leadership competencies.
- Proven experience beyond education to support and deliver high quality products and processes through the application of engineering principles. Exhibits competency and begins to develop expertise in multiple engineering technologies. Performs work which involves conventional practice but may include a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, incomplete market requirements, unsuitability of standard materials and multiple project coordination.
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies engineering principles to product and process modifications. Exercises independent judgment to define project objectives and engineering / scientific approach. Assignments may require development of unclear objectives and require investigation of multiple variables.
- Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Must be able to logically analyze and solve problems, both electronic and mechanical in nature.
- Demonstrated experience with wired and/or wireless networking and technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-wave, etc.).
- Use of hand tools and electronic test and repair equipment.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Self-motivated, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Well organized and able to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Good project management skills required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization in difficult technical problem solving with customer service or field related issues.
- Knowledge of electronic components such as microcontrollers, batteries, wireless chips, motors, motor control components, encoders is required.
- Knowledge of electronic circuits, circuit schematic design, and PCB design/layout is preferred. Experience with PIC microcontrollers a plus.
- The ideal candidate is flexible, forward thinking, results oriented, with a high attention to detail. Must be able to work collaboratively within a team with little supervision.
