ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS for the digital marketing manager include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and a minimum 5-10 years experience in progressive digital marketing.

  • Seasoned leader; ability to successfully develop a team

  • Ability to operate under pressure, within tight deadline and in dynamic environment.

  • High learning agility – “lifelong learner

  • Strong business acumen and strategic orientation

  • Excellent communicator – written and oral

  • Intermediate website development expertise

  • Experience with content management systems

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Interactive advertising, tracking, optimization, analysis, and reporting

  • Experience with Pay Per Click (banner, SEM, Network) marketing

  • Working knowledge of analytics and internet measurement technologies

  • Working knowledge of existing social media platforms and the marketing opportunities they provide

  • Working knowledge of mobile marketing

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with creative application platforms such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, MS Expression, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, After Effects, Flash, Director, Final Cut Pro, and Motion

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with web development platforms and languages such as Microsoft .Net, PHP, Cold Fusion, PERL, HTML, CSS, XML, RSS, JavaScript, JQUERY, AJAX, and Action Script

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with underlying database technologies like MS SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with underlying hardware and network infrastructure and related concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, Security, Mobile Technologies and Platforms)

  • MS Office including MS Project

  • Portal technologies and content management applications, understanding of Oracle Applications and middleware to interface with web preferred

  • Analytics Platforms such as: Google Analytics, Omniture or WebTrends

  • Ad Platforms such as DART or Atlas

  • Motion Technologies such as Flash (minimal, but solid understanding

  • Programming Methodologies such as SCRUM (should have some methodology experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
