SUMMARY

As the B2B Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing successful strategies to drive our brands forward and win with our Trade Customers. The ideal team member will bring a proven track record of strong execution, strategic thinking and using analytics to optimize performance of marketing activities. This position requires cross functional collaboration, an aptitude to learn, the ability to work independently and a drive to deliver results.

This role will manage B2B demand generation for all brands within the Pella portfolio. In addition, this role will oversee marketing activities including but not limited to loyalty and retention campaigns, content strategy, value proposition/positioning, product launches, sales team support, digital integration and management of other marketing and sales related efforts that deliver results for the organization and to our customers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own B2B demand generation, campaign performance and marketing strategy for all brands within the Pella Corporation family, including development of trackable program metrics in partnership with sales team to deliver on business growth goals.
  • Lead strategic development and activation of 3-year Marketing plan for B2B marketing activations.
  • Lead the development and direction of positioning and messages that differentiate our brands, products and services across B2B distribution channels and delivers relevant customer value.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify customer needs and to develop and activate cohesive marketing strategies to ensure consistent brand experiences across all channels.
  • Strategically manage the multi-media advertising and promotional programs that drive preference and demand for our brands and channels.
  • Request and support marketing research activities involved in identification of customer needs, market potential, distribution trends, analysis of sales records and problem identification.
  • Spend time in the field with sales to deepen understanding of sales team needs across brands and channels.
  • Assume financial responsibility of the B2B Marketing budget and submit budget proposals according to the annual planning/budgeting process.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage team members and have responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in leading multi-media B2B demand generation programs. Fluency in Salesforce, marketing automation and lead/funnel management required.
  • Understands business to business strategies to own development and execution of marketing strategies.
  • Experience leading marketing strategy for a sizeable business segment with multiple distribution channels.
  • Ability to build business cases leveraging data and customer insights as rationalization for new activity or program recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability managing key metrics for assessing return on investment for all marketing efforts and programs executed.
  • Ability to work well with others and build a high performing team.
  • The position will require travel (approx. 30 percent).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS B2B MARKETING MANAGER INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university w/ degree in business or related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B Marketing experience.
  • Understands business to business strategies, demand generation and loyalty programs and leading development of marketing strategies.
  • Ability to build business cases leveraging data and customer insights as rationalization for new activity or program recommendations.
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to work well with others cross-functionally.
  • The position will require travel (approx. 25 percent).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to give prepared speeches to public groups.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as ROI in business and specific marketing applications, fundamentals of CAGR, discounts and commissions.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations such as media performance analysis, reporting revenue growth and market share gain.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of abstract and concrete variables to build a business case or rationale for decisions.
