Position Summary:

Join a dynamic creative and content team developing video marketing communications for a leading brand. The Video Editor role is responsible post-production editing, creating and publishing audio and video for internal and external use.  

 

This individual works closely with other members of the content and creative teams to understand video objectives and bring a vision to life through video storytelling. The Video Editor is responsible for editing engaging on-brand video – including, but not limited to, corporate video, customer testimonials, social clips, gifs, interviews, product beauty and detail imagery, inspirational content and how-to videos. This position will be responsible for the creative editing of footage from internal and external partners. The Video Editor should be able to think creatively about bringing new editing ideas and techniques to the table and share expertise that will help drive the brand forward.

 

Essential job duties and responsibilities for the Video Editor include, but are not limited to:

  • Edit video for various digital outputs, including Pella websites, YouTube and social channels.
  • Knowledge of editing software and extensive experience creatively editing pieces together while following branding guidelines.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaborating with content and creative teams, clients and external partners on objectives – and can bring vision to life through video.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects at various stages and meet deadlines.
  • Manage and organize video content library (interview footage, b-roll, video) and rights for stock imagery and music.
  • Play a role in advancing our video efforts, including sharing industry trends and providing expertise around post-production practices.


Essential job requirements for this Video Editor include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborative, positive, self-driven, energetic approach
  • Creative thinker, problem-solver, ability to switch from project to project
  • Organized, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, and positively accept thoughts and feedback on work
  • Candidate should possess extensive editing experience
  • Passion for storytelling and brand building
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere editing software required. Experience in After Effects is ideal, but not required
  • Proficient in visual effects – 2D animation, video cleanup and retouching
  • Experience keying and compositing for green screen projects
  • Working knowledge of production equipment and experience shooting is nice, but not required
  • 7+ years related experience in video editing required
