Role Mission:

This technical analyst is there to support the business requirements through the development and design of new/modified applications in compliance to Pella Standards.  Work with the business analysts to design, develop and maintain technical interfaces from various systems, report modifications, forms modifications, or any other modification that requires technical assistance in order to meet a business need. This technical analyst partners with business stakeholders to scope, define, and design requirements for Pella’s order acquisition systems. 


Job duties for this technical analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Code development – Develop code based on the technical design specifications.  Perform initial code checkout.  Communicate status to parties involved.  Familiar with many standards and is capable of developing across a most of the tools available.

  • Day to day support of existing environment – Production issue resolution (alerts, tickets, requests from analysts).  Team member is comfortable taking on issues related to areas of the system he/she has worked with before.  Begins taking on non-critical production issues in areas where he/she has not worked before.  

  • Technical design work – Technical specifications and analysis is limited to a single program/procedure/function.  Work to be reviewed with Sr. Analyst/Expert or manager.

  • Capacity/performance management – Besides conducting performance reviews of his/her own code begins doing reviews for associate analysts.

  • Project management – Development and coordination of small project tasks or assist other team members in developing project plans for larger projects.

  • Documentation and support handoff – Produce documentation to turn over to functional analyst or Sr. Analyst/Expert to be saved to appropriate location.  Provides appropriate technical documentation.

  • On-call rotation as assigned.  Support for implementations of projects assigned will occur on weekends.

Job requirements and qualifications for this technical analyst include, but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or related field (MIS or Computer Science or equivalent) along with 2+ years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of PQM(WTS CenterPoint), M2O, and MS Visual Studio
  • Strong knowledge in SQL, Microsoft office / projects, Data warehouse tools, and Visual basic scripting
  • Good understanding of relational databases 
  • Strong leadership, organization, and project management skills
  • Able to communicate technical requirements effectively to non-technical team members.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed for projects
