This Talent Acquisition Recruiter leads recruiting for all site positions which include factory hourly and may involve some exempt, and non-exempt. This position will work closely with the corporate recruiters. Acts as liaison for Talent Acquisition process for all areas of business.  Acts as an interface with hiring managers, external recruiters, HR Managers or Business Partners and candidates by coordinating the screening, interviewing, selection and offer processes.  Serves as the subject matter expert for all aspects of the site recruiting process.  With this knowledge, provides training, guidance and support to the site. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, relationship building and multi-tasking skills.  This Talent Acquisition Recruiter needs to possess excellent customer satisfaction skills through interactions with applicants and internal partners at all levels of the organization.  

Essential duties and responsibilities of this Talent Acquisition Recruiter include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the hiring process for Operations.
  • Actively recruits talent from variety of sources.
  • Interviews talent and determines potential fit for the organization.
  • Facilitates a review with the HR Manager and hiring manager to align the job description, job advertising and talent assessment tools with the hiring manager expectations for the position.
  • Writes, posts and manages job postings externally through various external recruiting media. 
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Coordinates the site interview process for exempt positions, application, and interpretation of talent assessment tools as appropriate for the specific position.
  • Develops and/or promotes recruitment programs to attract applicants and fill position openings.
  • Assists in extending offers for employment and ensures follow up occurs with candidate.
  • Effectively communicates with all stakeholders throughout the sourcing and hiring process and provides training.
  • Maintains a relationship with sourcing agencies and other vendors and stays in close contact to ensure they fully understand expectations for the open position and can optimize their ability to find and present talented candidates that match these expectations.
  • Works closely with the Corporate Recruiting team to ensure required company process steps are completed and to share best practices.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement with respect to the site talent acquisition process and supporting process documents.
  • Maintains contracts and invoice filing to provide monthly budget reporting.
  • Represents Pella on campus and at career fairs as needed to promote opportunities within the Organization. 
  • Responsible for special projects, as assigned.

Job qualifications for this Talent Acquisition Recruiter include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate’s degree acceptable, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Education or experience in Human Resources or recruiting preferred.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple-tasks in an environment of constant interruptions and be able to prioritize responsibilities. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and process manuals and talent assessments. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before job candidates, external vendors and groups of employees within the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic arithmetic and concepts of Algebra. 
  • Ability to apply basic math formulas within a spreadsheet. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Taleo and PeopleSoft is preferred
