SUMMARY
Develops, executes and continuously improves Operation’s Factory Hourly talent acquisition strategy and processes while focused on creating a positive candidate experience from start to finish to cultivate talent pipelines and hire team members who will amplify business performance and enrich company culture. The Operations Talent Acquisition Manager supports all Operation’s plant locations relative internal and external Factory Hourly Talent Acquisition and aligns shared Corporate Recruitment platforms with Factory Hourly processes as outlined below.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
Develops and implements Operation’s Factory Hourly talent acquisition strategy in alignment with Operation’s business strategy through plans, programs, policies, and procedures for talent acquisition pipeline strategy, assessments, scheduling, screening, interviewing, selection, and hiring.
 
Oversees the applicant tracking system to ensure effective use of technology for requisition management, applicant communications, job posting execution and metric tracking within Operations.
 
Ensures planning tools are in place and accessible to support and monitor hiring needs and actions across all locations.
 
Recruits, screens, and interviews candidates for open positions as warranted.
 
Develops and maintains strategic relationships with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, state partnerships and other sources aligned to talent acquisition.
 
Educates, trains and provides day-to-day expertise and support to Operation’s HR teams.
 
Ensure recruiting strategies incorporate alignment to diverse labor markets and trends.  
 
Works in partnership with Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communication and/or Corporate Recruitment to align, develop and execute employment branding actions within Operations including social media strategies.
 
Conducts vendor management practices and ensure supporting processes meet team needs.
 
Provides leadership to expand Factory Hourly internships, externships, and apprentice programs for Technical Trades Program or other FH staffing programs.
 
 
Develops, maintains and analyzes statistical reports, metrics and other data to monitor applicant flow, interviews, selection, promotions, separations/turnover, and team member demographics for compliance with legal regulations and policies.
 
Informs and empowers existing team members to act as a recruiter and seek out talent for Pella Corporation.
 
 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS for the talent acquisition manger include:
  • Able to directly influence others through effective leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university; and five years related experience and/or training. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Recruiting certifications and/or SHRM certification (PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP) helpful, but not required.
  • Preferred previous recruitment experience to include ATS and CRM systems.
  • May travel up to 30-40% of the time for reasons such as attending key recruitment events or providing on-site support and training at Operations locations.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
