QUALIFICATIONS for the Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE for the Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

One year certificate from college or technical school; or Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  In-depth knowledge of Oracle Purchasing system is required; as well as how they inter-relate between Supply Management, Receiving, Issuing and Finance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard work, change order notifications, etc. Ability to communicate effectively through written or oral communication with internal and external personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Oracle.
