Job requirements for this Senior Research and Development Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, material science or chemistry preferred
• Master’s degree in engineering preferred
• A minimum of seven years of experience in a minimum of two of the following disciplines:  process, product, continuous improvement, project, quality and manufacturing
• Knowledge in materials and associated processes
• Working knowledge of the use and application of chemical analysis laboratory equipment 
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
• Team player who collaborates well with others to drive results
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and AutoCAD
• Moderate travel to other sites and divisions; varies based upon business needs

SUPERVISING OTHERS

Primarily an individual contributor role.  Capable of leading and influencing a team through complex technical projects from development to implementation.  Serves as a mentor and coach to others.
