SUMMARY

This position will create and implement change management strategies that maximize adoption of change and minimize resistance.  The Organization Change Manager is responsible for orchestrating organizational change efforts, and empowering both people leaders and employees to embrace and adopt change. Key responsibilities include:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

-          Champion a structured change management methodology to create awareness, inspire motivation, ensure knowledge and practice, and appropriate reinforcement.

o   Lead the change management consulting process and provide change-related coaching throughout. 

o   Create the change management strategy based on anticipated barriers and mitigation strategies.

o   Integrate change management work into broader plans (e.g., Project Management and/or Communication Plans). 

o   Orchestrate change actions through partnership with Communications and Training.  Provide active guidance for Project Sponsor(s) and other impacted leaders.   

o   Define and measure success metrics.  Track progress, report and manage issues/risk, adapting as needed. 

 

-          Support the advancement of the Change Management COE. Partner to develop enterprise-wide change strategies that:

o   Guide project leads as they plan for and ensure lasting change. 

o   Upskill people leaders as they lead through change.

o   Develop change resilience in all team members.

 

This position is responsible for:

-      leading strategic change initiatives and programs for the enterprise

-      providing consultative oversight to assigned projects to drive change

-      building strategies that drive behavioral change, mitigate risk, and impact business results

-      leading the execution of change plans including developing the case for change, aligning stakeholders, assessing impacts, and creating resistance management action plans

-      contributing to communication, training, and coaching/leadership plans

-      measuring and reinforcing the effectiveness of results

-      contributing significantly to the development, continuous improvement, and roll-out of change methodologies, tools, and templates at an enterprise level

-      building change leadership capabilities and overall team members resilience for change

-      managing the relationship with external change management consultants

-      training internal sponsors and stakeholders in the change methodologies and we choose

QUALIFICATIONS

-          Bachelor’s degree in organizational behavior, human resources, organizational development, organization effectiveness or 5+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: organizational change management, organizational effectiveness, corporate communications, training and/or project management.

-          Proven strategic change leader with demonstrated skill and experience working on large-scale people and behavioral transformational programs.

o   Knowledgeable of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.

o   Ability to develop, lead, and implement practical change management solutions.

o   Expertise that cuts through the noise when consulting to make the complex simple.

 

-          Effectively listen, communicate, and collaborate with others at all levels, managing a multitude of differing opinions and passion from people leaders and team members.

 

-          Excellent interpersonal skills and influence skills. Ability to establish rapport, build relationships, and foster trust quickly at all levels of the organization to drive performance.

 

-          Flexible and resilient.  Ability to challenge, persevere, and thrive in ambiguous situations.

 

-          Strong problem-solving and analytical skills within multiple environments and teams who may have diverse viewpoints and needs.

 

-          A bias to action.  Ability to rapidly get to an ‘80/20’ answer, and comfort tailoring the engagement approach as necessary to meet timelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly manages Change Management team.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors in organizational behavior, human resources, organizational development, organization effectiveness or 5+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas: organizational change management, organizational effectiveness, corporate communications, training and/or project management. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.  Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Access, and Project Management systems.
