Role Summary:
This social media specialist will lead the ongoing management of Pella’s social media efforts across the business. In this role the individual will create facilitate, standardize and integrate the development of digital content consistent with Pella’s brand standards with agency partners, Pella marketing, internal creative team, and other areas of the business to achieve corporate marketing goals.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities for this social media specialist include the following:
  • Lead the development and execution of the corporate social media strategy to increase brand awareness/preference/engagement in support of key business objectives
  • Collaborate with content teams and creative team to develop original and relevant content across all key social channels including corporate blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, and YouTube
  • Partner with internal and external teams including Marcom, Business Insights, Product Marketing, Segment/Channel Marketing, Legal, and Public Relations to coordinate the planning of social media campaigns, ensuring the coordination and integration with marketing strategy
  • Establish and grow Pella social media presence with key customer groups and target audiences through organic and paid social media promotion
  • Partner with metrics experts (internal and agency partners) to measure and analyze social media efforts and their impact on meaningful business results
  • Engage in conversations with brand advocates and influencers across all social media channels participating in dialogue and events which are meaningful to key audiences
  • Lead the ongoing management and development of ratings and reviews efforts and online reputation management
  • Provide thought leadership on Social Media topics for the Pella Brand and PDSN network
  • Partner with agency resources to manage social media and directory listing presence for PDSN network
  • Plan, optimize, and report on social media paid advertising support
  • Develop processes and support community manager efforts to moderate customer feedback and coordinate appropriate responses including working with customer service in a timely manner
  • Stay current and strategically forward-thinking on new social media tools, platforms, and best practices within the competitive landscape
  • Develop and manage company-wide standards, policies, best practices, and training including but not limited to employee and branch advocacy programs

 

Job qualifications for this social media specialist include the following:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of previous experience in marketing and social media
  • Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including but not limited to Google Analytics, Radian6, Buffer, TrackMaven, HootSuite, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in social media management, campaign development, and measurement
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required. 
  • Proficiency working with online monitoring and measurement platforms
  • Proficiency in content marketing development, sourcing, and publishing across digital platforms
  • Strong creative/communication skills in the areas of writing, photography, graphic design, and video
  • Social customer service oriented with an ability to follow up and resolve issues
  • Extremely detail oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Strong passion and knowledge of social media trends and evolving venues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills
