Senior Logistics Business Analyst

Role Summary:

This senior logistics business analyst is an expert in Oracle Supply Chain Execution modules, including Warehouse Management, Mobile Supply Chain Applications and Transportation Management.  This senior logistics business analyst works with internal business partners and external resources to provide application systems that enable functional processes.  Has system wide responsibility on complex projects. Provide subject matter expertise to solve functionally complex problems.  Provide direction to team members and coaching to junior level employees.

Essential job duties for this senior logistics business analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lead tactical and cross-functional projects from inception to completions, including post task management, and lessons learned. 
  • Development, testing, training, documentation and overall cross-functional implementation.  
  • Daily support for on-call rotation, disaster recovery testing and ready to serve tasks.
  • Develop a working relationship with the user community to build trust, and communicate projects requests, milestones and implementation schedule. 
  • Manage support, bug development and featured enhancements with the Supply Chain Execution modules through Oracle Metalink and SR creation. 
  • Analyze business requirements, develop design, manage configuration and integration, and conduct robust testing to support new system implementations, current system upgrades and business process changes and CI initiatives. Work to be reviewed with Sr. Analyst or manager.
  • Support current business systems including issue identification and resolution, functional performance monitoring and tuning and disaster recovery capability to meet business objectives leveraging both user feedback and internal metrics to drive improvement.
  • Provide industry expertise on difficult and complex issues.
  • Extract and format data to support functional reporting and metric needs.
  • Development and coordination of large projects across multiple systems and functions.  
  • Create and maintain documentation and conduct end user training.  Educate users in workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by system.
  • Ability to support business needs outside of normal business hours.  Most maintenance will happen on weekends.

Essential job requirements for this senior business analyst include, but are not limited to:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five years of related functional experience.Functional and Technical knowledge with Oracle Supply Chain Execution modules (WMS, OTM, MSCA) and understanding of Oracle Supply Chain Manufacturing, Planning and Order fulfillment modules.      
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products.  
  • Ability to develop in one or more mentioned computer programs:  PL/SQL, UNIX, middleware (Python/BPEL), Java, MWA (Mobile Web Application), and XML
  • Leadership, organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
