SUMMARY

 

The Retail Marketing Manager has responsibility for identifying and executing a strategy to support our brand position and drive sales growth in the Pella Direct Sales Network (PDSN) retail division; he or she will manage all aspects of the retail marketing strategy including management of AORs that will determine targeting, cadence (contact frequency/methods) and proper investment from our branches for the optimal customer experience and lead generation results.  Additionally, the retail marketing team will be responsible for active collaboration with Pella retail field marketing staff, business insights, agency partners and IT teams to better understand our consumers, optimize business results and leverage our CRM and Call Center systems. Acts as a change agent for the organization and champions a test & learn / ROI culture.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage the strategy and execution of the PDSN advertising efforts through the use of AORs and Direct Response marketing tactics. 
  • Oversee the spend and allocation of marketing dollars, the largest % of our advertising budget. 
  • Lead and coach four direct reports within our newly transformed retail marketing team.
  • Manage selected AORs in entirety, including relationship building, strategy development, performance management, and implementing new innovations as they arise.  
  • Work directly with our in-house creative agency to ensure a healthy partnership and a strong reflection of our growing brand. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5-10 years of experience in a retail direct response environment. And/or some combination of equivalent education and experience. 
  • 3+ years of management experience and/or demonstrating leadership in a cross-functional environment. 
  • Results-oriented leader who is self-motivated and has a record success with a large/ multi-branch organization. 
  • Exceptional planing and project management skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and translate analytics to drive business decisions that positively impact the organization.
  • Strong background in direct response marketing and leveraging AORs for success.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
