ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS for the Registered Nurse - Occupational Health include the following.

  • Associate degree - RN  (Registered Nurse) in Nursing or equivalent from two-year college; or bachelor’s degree - BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) from four-year college or university; with a minimum of three years nursing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to team members, managers, and public groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as medication dosage. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, People Soft, Fusion, and Thrive.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in State where employed and CAOHC certification (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation).
  • The ability to work 2nd shift hours. May be occasionally asked to work additional hours or different hours to support business needs. 
  • Ability to Travel, including overnight travel, may be required 25-30% of time based on sites supported and business needs.
