This position will lead teams to deliver projects which achieve goals of quality, productivity, growth and profitability on schedule. This role includes leading initiatives of various size from small projects to broad Leadership Agenda programs. This position will be the primary project management and communication champion for all the project activities including remote manufacturing sites. This position requires broad influence. This position will be one of the primary interfaces to the leadership and executive teams. In conjunction with the cross functional leaders, this position will prepare and present major project updates, planning, preparation, project prioritization and out-of-bounds project reviews. The primary role will be to provide overall business view and leadership to the team. This highly visible position will have responsibility for driving efficient project/program execution and decision making and strategic project/program scope alignment.


A project manager must make use of tools & processes that help to deliver successful business outcomes within our commitments, while creating a culture of speed & agility, failing fast, and rapid improvement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Chair cross-functional project, program and portfolio meetings.


Drive efficient decision-making within projects/programs including empowering the team and escalating when necessary.


Identify and hold the teams accountable to meeting the key success metrics for projects/programs


Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute project/program plans.


Analyze functional inputs to determine the optimal business case considering resource constraints.


The position requires periodic domestic travel by air and car on a monthly basis.



May directly manage 1-2 project specialists.

Bachelors degree required. Strongly prefer MBA or equivalent finance and business knowledge and skills with a minimum of 5-7 years of related business experience. Strongly prefer Project Management experience.



Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.



Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in M.S. PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Must be competent with most of the Pella Internal Computer systems.



Project Management certifications are preferred but not required.
