Responsible for work and safety of all personnel assigned to the department. Assists with assigning manpower and redistributing throughout the shift to meet changing needs. Functions as trainer and coach for the department as needed. Required to be knowledgeable of and/or capable of performing all jobs in the department. Will lead safety and quality groups and various project teams as needed. Other duties assigned by department manager as needed. Desired skill classes will depend on the area and will be recommended by the department manager. Must be willing to travel to other locations as necessary, by various modes of transportation including air.


  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Pass drug screen.
  • Pass pre-employment tests, as required.
  • Pass pre-work ability screen, as required.
  • Pass Job Certification test(s), as required.


  • Tobacco free workplace.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each position.
  • Safety glasses required in designated areas.
  • Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Seasonal high temperatures and humidity.

  • May have frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.


  • Communicates effectively, able to relay instructions from manager to workers and act as a backup for daily start up meetings.
  • Enforce all safety policies and processes with team members.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, shipping order, or requisition to determine daily tasks for the department.
  • Able to manually prioritize truck needs based on past due customer orders.
  • Knows basics of all company products and where to find each pro.
  • Assigns jobs to individuals and assists wherever needed (operators leaving the line, struggling operator) to get work done. Keeps people on task to manage line flow and performance.
  • Works with Management and support teams to achieve productivity objectives, including the coordination of cross training and job rotation.
  • Monitors work quality by checking progress and spot checking items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Adheres to Standard Work including identifying and coaching operators who are not in compliance and notifying DM of any issues.
  • Disperses material from water spider cart to line employees by continually inventorying materials on work floor, and supplying workers with materials as needed.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed, and performs required WIP counts.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Notifies department manager of problems with equipment, materials, or workers including reporting injuries immediately to management.
  • Utilizes Hour by Hour boards to identify issues during positive and negative hours, able to work with support team and problem solve issues on boards.
  • Able to deliver all required reporting and maintain goal board.
  • Organizes and cleans work area, leads 5s efforts for their department.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures, including standard work and performing all required audits.
  • Flexibility of work hours including mandatory overtime when business needs requires.
  • Ability to move to different lines and responsibilities.
  • Able to safely work with and around moving equipment.
  • Ability to learn and rotate to three (3) or more different responsibilities and / or positions.
  • Ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner with team members.
  • Regular / dependable attendance consistent with attendance guidelines is required.
  • Meet Takt time with productivity goals with accuracy and quality.
  • Operate equipment/tools that require close control, adjustment, and following production orders.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to learn and perform repetitive job tasks.
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance duties.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Follow Standard Work or other documented processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
