Role mission:

This product marketing manager is a visible, key management position that provides marketing leadership in the pursuit of market share, revenue growth, product line margin improvement, and customer service satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage a suite of products throughout Pella's business and analyze the success and future strategies of those products as it relates to sales and marketing

  • Leverage market research and internal core business competencies to develop key business strategies

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of marketing, merchandising, and product and pricing initiatives that are fundamental to business growth

  • Developing and executing three-year product and pricing strategies for Pella product lines

  • Identifying, developing, and implementing programs, initiatives, policies, and procedures that support total customer satisfaction

  • Assuring Pella products are in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards

  • Reviewing the annual and monthly forecast as it relates to the product line

  • Analyzing competitive pricing and developing price strategies to maintain sales, share, and profits

Job requirements for this product marketing manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in marketing

  • A minimum of five years related experience and/or training in building materials marketing

  • A minimum of three years supervisory experience

  • Experience managing a multi-channel group of products

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project Management, and PowerPlay software

  • Must understand competitive products and take the lead in establishing a Pella advantage 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises others on their team.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
