Pella, Iowa - Advanced Manufacturing Automation Support Tech (2nd Shift)
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Advanced Manufacturing Automation Support Technician will be a member of a highly technical engineering team focused on the development, implementation and support of manufacturing equipment built internally or externally. This position will be expected to support both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting at all Pella locations. This position will be expected to support and develop advanced technical team members at all Pella locations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures
· Regular/dependable attendance required
· Flexibility of work hours including overtime
· Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines
· Excellent working knowledge of tools, mechanical drives/systems, electrical/hydraulic systems, and programmable controllers
· Provide support for Continuous Improvement activities
· Wire and program systems for equipment/machines
· Support and implementation of controls for new and/or existing machines or processes using a variety of hardware components which include PLC’s, HMI’s, CNC’s, PC’s, Robotics, motion controllers, and standard industrial controls.
· Flexibility to travel – 25% or Greater
· Promotes safety through design and actions
· Applies advanced computers skills such as AutoCAD, RSLogix, RSView, AlphaCAM & Microsoft Office.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to rotate to other positions as needed
· Participate in Kaizen events and other activities as assigned
· Other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Manufacturing experience is preferred
· Formal Technical training preferred
· PLC programing experience is required
· Job related experience is required
