This position will represent the Pella Crafted Luxury portfolio of products in a luxury design center by developing relationships and providing high quality customer service to homeowners and representatives from the architectural and design communities.  This position will be a brand ambassador and provide event leadership for company sponsored events and showcases at the design center promoting Pella Crafted Luxury products.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Relationship-Building & Networking

  • Trade groups/Associations - attend meetings and cultivate relationships in and outside of showroom

  • Design professionals - develop and maintain relationships with designers and architects

 Product & Technical Knowledge

  • Consult with showroom guests and educate them about Pella Crafted Luxury products and capabilities

  • Answer and research technical product questions

 Sales & Marketing

  • Manage sales and marketing programs and activities executing the showroom strategy

  • Manage database of customer contacts utilizing CRM system

  • Own and nurture relationships with walk in showroom visitors               

  • Assist showroom manager with marketing projects and customer communications

 Operations and Event Management Assistance

  • Manage showroom to exacting standards; regularly clean showroom products & finishes

  • Manage and attend showroom events

  • Ability to work weekend and evening hours

Administrative Duties

  • Answer phones, handle mail/shipping services

  • Interface with Merchandise Mart staff and vendors

  • Ensure showroom is stocked with office, sales/marketing and beverage service supplies

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university, preferred; Architectural or Interior Design industry background desirable; 3-5 years of luxury showroom or retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and to interpret spatial relationships from architectural drawings.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
