Pella Windows & Doors, is now looking for a Order Fulfilment & Facilities Manager for Florida.  We need an organized, proactive, adaptable leader who is focused on supporting the growth goals of the Company.  We provide a respectful, friendly, fast paced and fun work environment.  The ideal candidate will have experience in management, warehousing & logistics, facilities & fleet, strong computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Responsible for the order fulfillment, warehousing and logistics processes and continuous improvement efforts at assigned branch locations.  Primarily responsible for team members and providers within the warehouse and logistics departments.  Responsible for improving inbound and outbound delivery accuracy and increasing the inventory turn rate.  Accountable for the maintenance of all company vehicles and facilities including office, warehouse and showrooms.  Participates with other members of the management team in developing strategies to ensure the business’ continued growth and profitability. Works with other business leaders to improve the overall customer experience.  Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures to promote world class customer experience, company profitability and market share growth. 

Responsibilities/Accountabilities includes the following but not limited to

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of exempt and or non-exempt team members as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, selection, training, performance evaluation and development, skill assessment, discipline and discharge, payroll reporting, overtime scheduling and all other misc. items that are involved in supervising this group
  • Ensure adequate and efficient staffing strategies for assigned teams
  • Encourage utilization and continuous improvement of order fulfillment processes, systems, and metrics
  • Review financial statements on a regular basis to analyze trends and identify opportunities
  • Considers strategic opportunities and shares information with staff in order to develop decision making ability and growth
  • Coordinates initial and on-going training for team members as required
  • Continually searches for new ways to utilize technology in process improvement
  • Develop and manage processes to ensure a safe working environment
  • Manages a fleet of company vehicles and associated equipment
  • Responsible for providing field staff with the appropriate tools and resources
  • Responsible to meet P & L objectives for the warehouse & logistics departments
  • Owns the Health & Safety objectives and requirements for each location assigned
  • Special Projects as assigned

Order Fulfillment

  • Regularly interfaces with third party vendors to review costs, services provided, and address issues as they arise
  • Responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and complete order fulfillment
  • Reviews production, assembly and recovery schedules in order to determine labour needs (both regular employees and temporary employees) and appropriately delegate workload
  • Must develop an expert level understanding of related Pella systems, products and their applications

Facilities and Fleet Management

  • Responsible for the overall functionality of all facilities and vehicles
  • Responsible for coordinating vehicle maintenance, registration, insurance and all other necessary documentation
  • Coordinates the maintenance of building systems including but not limited to HVAC, Lighting, Plumbing, Displays, Signage, and general appearance
  • Manages lease agreements for purposes of renewal, renegotiation, and dissolutions

Physical Inventory Management

  • Reviews all product deliveries and assigns delivery costs to appropriate business segment
  • Processes system requirements for all direct ship orders
  • Leadership responsibility in conducting physical inventories of job order and stock inventory as needed.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and reporting of physical inventory results
  • Responsible for establishing and updating inventory objectives with the General Manager
  • Responsible for reporting on company inventory metrics, investigating and tracking improvement, sharing relevant information and monitoring performance

Supervisory

  • Responsible for hiring and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining behaviors; addressing and resolving concerns and facilitating professional
  • Carries out man responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsible for the overall efficiency, quantity and quality of work performed in all order fulfillment processes.  This includes ensuring all key positions have adequate back-up and providing resources for all individuals to perform their functions

General Management and Integration

  • Acts as a liaison in creating proactive communication between all departments.  This includes working closely with human resources, sales, finance, and other fulfilment areas to identify and resolve potential process and training issues.  Maintains open lines of communication and seeks input of others to ensure constantly improving levels of customer satisfaction
  • As necessary, research, create, authorize, implement and update documents such as policies, procedures, forms and standard work
  • Acts as a point of contact for and cooperates with requests from Pella Corporation
  • Participates in Subsidiary planning and communication regarding operational objectives and/or opportunities to drive consistency
  • Enforces company and department policies when applicable
  • Fosters integration throughout the entire organization
  • Work with other members of management to instill and promote the Pella Way in all facets of the business

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.); five (5) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language and Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required as well as good public relations, public speaking, instructional/teaching, and customer service skills.  Ability to read, interpret, understand and explain documents such as company policies and benefits.  Ability to effectively present information to others, gather information from others, and respond appropriately to questions from employees, managers, co-workers, agents, customers, and the general public.  Must be able to listen, assess and diagnose hidden meanings, and empathize. Must be able to resolve conflict in the best interests of the business and our customers.  Must display excellent phone and email etiquette, and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.  Must be able to make eye contact and present appropriate persona for the situation when interacting with fellow employees or waiting on a customer/visitor in person on a regular and consistent basis.

Must have ability to understand and communicate basic math associated with operational costs and/or revenue. Must have the ability to interpret financial reports and commonly used company performance reporting methods.

Must be able to determine appropriate resolution in dealing with employee concerns and questions and set appropriate boundaries.  Must possess good thought processes, problem-solving skills, and investigative theory. Must be able to use sound judgment and make objective decisions in the company's best interest at all times. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primary work location will be the designated at the time of hire.  The employee will be required to enter the company's warehouse located at same address or other locations on a regular basis.  There may be occasions whereby work locations will include Trade shows or other showroom locations.  There may also be occasions when the employee will be expected/able to perform duties at home such as reading professional and/or research materials, making and accepting phone calls, composition of forms, correspondence, reports, etc. on the computer.  The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate in Administrative office and moderate in the warehouse.
