3rdShift Job Openings in Gresham, OR

Regular Schedule: Monday through Thursday 8:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Possible Overtime: Friday 8:00 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. on Friday

The Material Handler is a forklift driver and works independently to ensure that Team Members receive the material needed for the production lines. Drives gasoline, propane or battery powered industrial vehicles equipped with lifting device to push, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Daily lift truck checklist must be completed to insure needed maintenance repairs are taken care of.  The Stock-keeper compiles and maintains records of quality and type of material, equipment, or supplies stocked. This position is a combination of both duties and requires work with minimal supervision. Other duties assigned by department manager as needed. Must successfully pass a vision screen and acquire a Forklift Operation Certificate through a training course.

Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Aids in all transfer of product to and from the production lines
  • May assist in providing material handling coverage in the warehouse
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Comply with safety, quality, production requirements and procedures, including standard work
  • Must be able to work outside in inclement weather
  • Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and items received and uses a computer to enter totals to inventory records
  • Compares inventories to office records that compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Stocks and issues materials or merchandise and records materials distributed to the lines
  • Communicates inventory discrepancies to the purchasing department, Department Manager, lead person, or team members to prevent future problems
  • Regular/dependable attendance required; flexibility of work hours including overtime
  • Must successfully acquire PIV certification and be able to work with and around moving equipment
  • This job requires the use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision
  • Work in confined and tight spaces and in areas of high traffic with a PIV
  • Ability to prioritize calls based on business needs in a fast paced, noisy environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Pass pre-employment tests, as required.
  • Pass pre-work ability screen, as required.
  • Pass Job Certification test(s), as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency desired.
  • Manufacturing-related experience is preferred.
  • Job specific experience preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Tobacco free workplace.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for each position.
  • Safety glasses required in designated areas.
  • Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Seasonal high temperatures and humidity.
  • Fast paced work with productivity goals.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • May require frequent handling of glass and other product materials.
  • May have frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
