Manager of Sales Training & Development

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S./B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalents in training and adult learning or related communications major; Masters degree preferred; and 5-7 years previous experience of general or training communications. Previous experience in training material design and development, internet based online learning, audio-visual material development, and window industry background is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Demonstrated written and oral communications skills, including sales presentation skills; demonstrated planning, budgeting and organizational skills; demonstrated consultative, influencing and leadership skills. Possesses good relationship building skills. Able to describe complex ideas and concepts in understandable terms. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure, coping with and reacting quickly to change in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively across sales and customer service segments, domestically and internationally.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Word, Excel, Power Point and the Training Management System.
