Manager of Sales Performance and Analytics

This role is responsible for supporting the creation, development, communication and implementation of Pella’s Distribution strategy across all channels. Primary responsibility to use available data to formulate strategic direction and recommendations enabling industry leading performance and delivery of robust projected growth.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • High degree of understanding of the Pella proprietary data available as well as data available from other sources for analysis.

  • Ability to data mine, analyze and interpret data to provide strategic direction and recommendations for distribution decisions.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the High-Level Planning process for the PDSN. Work with the Segment Director’s, to ensure this process aligns short term goals with the long-term distribution strategy. In addition, collaborate with the sales team to ensure sales branches understand programs and corporate direction and have plans in place to achieve objectives. 

  • Identify and track performance metrics to ensure consistent deployment of the Pella Customer experience in the Top 100 markets.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining semi-annual performance reports and escalation letters by collaborating with Pella Sales team and the Pella Legal team.
  • Define and lead a review process for major changes impacting branch contracts and/or new branch candidates ensuring cross-functional consensus, when necessary and adherence to the strategic plan.

  • Execute the key business processes and plans required to meet Pella’s distribution and growth objectives. 

  • Work with Pella’s corporate functions to execute the distribution strategy developed above.

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university, MBA preferred; 7 to 10 years of sales management, distribution/channel management experience and/or general management experience with P&L responsibility preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and profit margins and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Ability to review and understand financial statements and key financial metrics such as ROS, Mark-Up, Non-Material Cost, Inventory Turns, and DSO.  Ability to understand and communicate financial impact of investments, performance improvements and growth initiatives.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
