SUMMARY

 

Responsible for implementing and managing the Lowes Ordering and Inventory Process, related to demand forecast and operations capacity, systems and metrics for fill rates at Pella Corporation. This position will engage with multiple functions to ensure organizational alignment and influence for timely and critical managment decision-making for meeting customer reliability targets.

 

This position requires excellent analytical skills along with, interpersonal, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.  This position also requires an individual who is tenacious and will do whatever it takes to complete the job at hand. Problem solving and organizational skills are a must. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Active participant in the S&OP Demand meeting to help drive the Consensus Demand Plan on Lowe’s Stock & SOS.

 

Communicate on POD and other discrepancies in invoicing & late delivery process both internally and with customer

 

Manage pricing elements related to impact on competitive products to unders stock turns

 

Proactively manage customer demand, order patterns & communicate critical changes to demand to downstream partners.

 

  • Responsible for implementing and managing the Lowes Ordering and Inventory Process.  Analyze trends from Lowe’s POS data.  Identify the level of orders needed on a daily/weekly basis (by store by SKU) and provide that information to Lowe’s on a timely basis.
  • Leverages best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to continually enhance the ordering/fulfillment processes between Pella and Lowe’s.
  • Incorporates inventory strategies to optimize product inventories including winter build for existing products and planning for new product introductions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact regarding specific Lowe’s requests relating to demand levels, capacity constraints, resets, and order fulfillment.
  • Monitor orders, TSPM’s and Presentation Minimums to manage vs. forecast on a monthly basis, responding to exceptions with collaborative discussions and addressing monthly plan revisions accordingly.

 

Continuously improve forecasts through evaluation of promotional activities, inventory changes, and consumption trends.  Shape demand plan accordingly through collaboration with Lowe’s Supply team on weekly basis.

 

Responsible for reporting on forecast accuracy measurements to identify potential gaps and drive improvements with key stakeholders.

Identify and own KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to facilitate improvements to both the process and the results.

Post analysis on initiatives to oversee long term 3-5 year trends for capacity management.

 

Implement adjustments and make appropriate improvements to the Demand Management process within the appropriate systems on by weekly basis. Document the related business process so that the company can leverage consistent demand planning process and approach when required.

 

Creates, monitoes and updates reporting associated with key key performance metrics relevant to stock program

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities however plays a significant coordination role cross-functionally.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 4-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the sales, supply chain, consulting supply chain, or operations.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Oracle, Forecasting tools, analytics tools such as Alteryx & Python.Ability to utilize advanced supply chain tools if the company chooses to implement a new tool.  A solid understanding of ERP data and transaction flows; ideally Oracle ERP.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MBA or APICS Certification preferred but not required.
