Position Overview: 
The Installation Systems Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of installation management systems that will enable superior project management and customer communication. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the installation management system is a best-in-class solution that integrates with Pella IT applications. Post implementation, the Installation Systems manager will be responsible for system administration, assuring system reliability, seeking out feedback from the field, making recommendations for improvement, developing and testing solutions, and implementing those solutions.  The Installation Systems Manager is the key point of contact between external development resources, internal resources, the user community and IT support.   
 
Responsibilities/Accountabilities include the following, but not limited to:
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the execution of strategic growth initiatives such as the adoption of new installation project management software. This includes the development of the rollout plan, training plan, and on-going system releases.  
  • Establish performance metrics to measure launch, adoption, and on-going engagement of installation and project enablement systems.  
  • Work closely with (the entity) and PDSN management in effectively ramping up software programs in market and provide the necessary support to ensure effective usage to drive results.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with cross functional teams and external customers to develop, manage and drive execution.   This may include marketing, product management, supply management, field sales teams, and corporate sales.
  • Facilitate installation and project systems enablement best practice sharing across internal sales teams.
  • Possess leadership, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This role will work very closely with the in-market leadership to accomplish the actions listed above. 
  • Identify gaps in current system capabilities and recommend solutions
  • Research and test new technology, as needed, to promote efficient and effective end user experiences

  • Proficiency with Microsoft® Office and smart devices, and ability to learn internal software programs and applications.
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, CRM, WMS, ERP, and similar applications strongly desired.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 5-7 years of project management and sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components is recommended but not required.
 
Language and Communication Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to make eye contact and present appropriate persona for the situation when interacting with fellow employees or visitor in person on a regular and consistent basis.

Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
 
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
 
Travel
50% travel nationally.
