Role mission

The employer brand communication specialist contributes to the development and management of Pella’s employer brand to attract talent, engage team members, and create employee advocates.

 

This is a great opportunity because:

  • Develop and manage social, digital, and other collateral materials as it relates to Pella’s employer brand, culture, and recruiting efforts

  • Owns Pella Careers website content and development

  • Manages Pella’s social presence on key job sites used to attract and engage talent with the goal of making Pella an employer of choice

  • Identifies channels to implement social and digital strategies to promote business and HR objectives, including recruiting efforts

  • Contributes to long-term strategic vision and execution for employer branding

Job responsibilities for this employer brand communication specialist include:

  • Promoting Pella Corporation employer brand and culture through written, visual, social, and digital communications – as well as by example

  • Creating, writing, and editing communication materials for recruiting and employer branding efforts

  • Collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders across the business to achieve and support social and digital goals for employer branding efforts that are in alignment with and leverage overarching business talent objectives

  • Measuring effectiveness of employer branding efforts by integrating metrics and benchmarks in programs

  • Building collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors and job boards that support employment branding, including social media recruiting efforts such as Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Indeed

  • Monitoring and posting updates/responses to inquiries in written and social media channels as related to employer branding

  • Developing a process to maintain consistency in key collateral materials and update materials as needed to ensure brand clarity

  • Managing special projects as assigned

Job requirements for this employer brand communication specialist include:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business

  • Two to five years experience in corporation communications, marketing, and/or human resources.

  • Strong interpersonal/listening and collaboration skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; solid presentation skills

  • Experience with a range of communication technologies and channels such as intranet, email, social networks, video production and editing, HTML, content management systems

  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as a member of a team, as well with all types and levels of employees

  • Experience with metrics and tracking software

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and various social media platforms

  • Competency in graphic design, layout, and collateral development

  • Experience in marketing and selling an employer brand
