The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple commercial projects from the point of sale through final project close-out to maximize customer satisfaction, and project profitability. May contribute to project acquisition efforts in partnership with sales staff. Represents the Pella branch across all project phases, with primary responsibility during the construction phase of commercial building projects including ensuring a first class experience with customers relating to installation, service, and project close-out.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Acquire in depth knowledge of Pella’s offering and the competitive landscape 
  • Develop an understanding of and adhere to the Trade Selling Process in all aspects of sales related interactions
  • Assist in the sales process in the field and in the Pella Showrooms
  • Assist in acquiring and applying new account development skills and nurturing long-lasting client relationships
  • Support sales team by reading blue prints and by utilizing electronic systems and software to quote products and track customer interactions
  • Complete the professional sales training at our corporate office and any local workshops as they become available
  • Represent Pella as needed at company sponsored events, professional group’s invitations to discuss and/or present Pella products, trade association meetings and/or builder home shows
  • Collaborate with the Operations teams to ensure successful after sale service requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university within the disciplines of Construction or Engineering or an Associate’s Degree within the same disciplines and a minimum two years construction or estimating experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with an AutoCAD drafting program.
  • Individual’s motor vehicle record must also comply with company requirements
